Thanks to Pete Walkden for permission to use this lovely photo to introduce Biodiversity, or the Nature Crisis as it is sometimes called.
The EcoChurch initiative by A Rocha is an excellent way for churches to respond to biodiversity loss in particular (as well as the environment generally), by considering nature in all aspects of its life.
The A Rocha survey is best done in stages. It is quite long but don’t be put off since you can take as long as you need to move your church along the EcoChurch journey.
Our EcoChurch lead, on the Environment Action Group, is Cheryl Cousins.
Caring for God’s Acre is a UK national charity supporting biodiversity in the care of burial grounds and so particularly relevant on the Isle of Man. Click the link above to explore their website.
